Dr. Redwine was born a scientist; always interested in collecting data, making observations and persistently aiming for a greater understanding of how things work. As a young athlete he kept detailed records of his training schedules in swimming and track. Ultimately he won a track scholarship to Stanford University where he did his undergraduate work.
Through his research, that same integrity, persistence and attention to detail has resulted in a greater understanding of endometriosis and its treatment. The OR nurses at St. Charles Medical Center tell me he still holds the record for the longest surgery; meticulously excising endometriosis for over ten hours for one of our patients. Like many very bright people he possesses a wry sense of humor that often surprises us.
His time off passions are currently sailing, astronomy and computer programming.
